My Kids Fave Vegan Plant Based Nuggets

I'd love to say I only feed my kids a wholefood plant based diet, but the reality is I don't. They eat nuggets, burgers and pies like every other kid out there.

The only difference is our junk food is vegan plant based and therefore cruelty free!

Over the years we've tried a lot of different types of nuggets and Fry's has always been the longtime fave, but lately there's a few new options kicking round competing for the number one position.

Below are my top 3 Vegan Plant Based Chicken Free Nugget Reviews

The kids vote goes to.... Aldi Plant Collective: Plant Based Nuggets

The newest addition to Aldi's vegan range we were excited to try these and they are now the firm favourite!

We always cook our nuggets in the airfryer and these seem to release a lot of oil compared to some of the others I've tried but the finished result is crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside and has a "realistic chicken nugget taste" according to the kids.

I liked that they weren't as salty as the Herb & Sons ones (which had been the kids fave up till now) but Fry's is still number one for me.

My Fave.... Frys Family Rice Protein & Chia Nuggets

Available from both Coles and Woolworths freezer section these have been our long time fave nuggets, the herby flavour and chewy texture combined with the extremely crunchy outer just feels so satisfying!

I love having them in salad wraps for lunch or serving them dipped in aioli with an oven baked potato and some fresh, crunchy coleslaw for a lazy weekday dinner.

The Runner Up.... Herb & Sons Chicken Free Nuggets

With a crisp, bready outer, and a succulent, chewy inner, these nuggets would be perfect, if it wasn't for the excessive saltiness.

These were the kids pick before the Aldi ones came along and are great if you don't have any other options. Hopefully they will revise the recipe and reduce the salt quite a bit as other than that they ticked all the boxes!
