Kakadu Native Botanical Skincare

What I put on my body is as important to me as what I put in it. Like the foods I choose to consume, my skincare products have to be fully vegan which means no animal products or derivatives, and definitely not tested on animals.

They also have to work!

I was lucky enough earlier this month to win a Botanical Bundle from Kakadu Skincare Australia, a brand I had long coveted and wanted to try.

The bundle contains a Creamy Cleanser, Hydrating Serum and Nourishing Moisturiser. I've been using the products for nearly three weeks now and I have to say I honestly love them. I find by using the three step routine, the structured simplicity makes keeping on top of my skincare regime easy.

The Native Milk Cleanser (no dairy) is my favourite product from the bundle and one of the best cleansers I have ever used. It leaves my skin soft, smooth and clean without feeling stripped. A delicate scent of melon is just detectable from the cucumber extract and I love the addition of Ylang Ylang and Neroli as they are two of my fave essential oils!

With a base of Aloe Vera the Hydrating Serum slides on silkily and absorbs into your skin quickly, the lilli pilli extract providing an antioxidant and skin brightening boost while the lemon myrtle reminds of my childhood obsession with yellow fruit loops! As a side note apparently Fruit Loops contain lanolin (WTF sheep wool oil for breakfast?!) making them not vegan :(

I find my skin is still thirsty after the serum but the Native Nourishing Moisturiser adds just the right amount of hydration without leaving my skin feeling greasy or overloaded. Created using Hyaluronic Acid and Desert Lime to help keep the skin hydrated longer the addition of Rose essence, ylang ylang and Blood Orange also make it smell amazing!

The Botanical Bundle is available for $80 direct from Kakadu Skincares Website
